That's right I'm back. The end of 2021 didn't go to well for me. I managed to fuck up my knee, catch covid then get very fat. I am currently the heaviest I have ever been and quite possibly the unfittest I have ever been. Which is frustrating because training wise 2021 was a really good year for me.
Now question is how am I going to deal with this? Am I going to go on a juice detox for January? Go carb free? Cut my kcal in half? No, I'm not going to do that, I am not going to freak out and go crazy, burn myself into the ground to lose some weight. It's fine it's just a little bit of fat gain it’s not the end of the world. I assume some of you are in the same situation as me right now. Am I right? And guess what? It's fine, you had a good Christmas you enjoyed yourself. That’s the main thing you had a good time. If you were miserable all the time but had your ideal body, would it be worth it? I think not.
So, its January so what now? First, we need to work out your goal. What are you aiming for? Fat loss, muscle gain, fitness based goal?
Then kcal needs. This is really important because it is the foundation for fuelling your workouts and also enabling you to get weight loss or gain.
Up next training plan you can actually follow and not run yourself into the ground trying to complete.
After this you need to check in and make sure your training is right for you and review your kcal needs.
Don't set yourself stupid diets and restrict yourself too much. Make sure you enjoy what you are doing, diet doesn't mean brown rice plain chicken and broccoli. You should always allow yourself to have a "treat" every day, otherwise you will always get cravings. If you hit your Kcal needs, you will hit your target goal.
So, I have set myself goals, I have set myself Kcal targets, my training plan is ready and Im good to go.
You can do the same as well. There is a lot of information out there and confusing information. Don't get overwhelmed. If you need any guidance on your journey I am just and email away.
